Their home insurance is TERRIBLE
Their home insurance is TERRIBLE. Their phone lines are always busy, you wait for at least 30 minutes before they speak to you. They never contact you, They want to ignore your claim. You feel abandoned, just when an insurance company was supposed to help.
And they will try to force you to accept a cash settlement so they can avoid paying for all of your damage. They will use your ignorance of buildings and repairs against you. And it is stressful as they seem to know.

Renewal rip off....
Due for renewal, reward for customer loyalty ? Double the premiums. Ring them wait ages to get through & then no explanation as to why premiums are doubling. Very poor. Will not use them again

Really poor service - impossible to reach
Really poor service - there's only 1 way to communicate with AXA and that's by phone!!! Unfortunately this means that you have to queue for several hours and they're only open 9-5pm which makes it impossible to reach them when you're at work during the daytime. I took my car to AXA's repair company, but neither I nor their repair garage have been able to reach AXA for past 2 weeks to get me a courtesy car and have the repairs approved. So stuck in limbo. Seriously avoid this company if you want to a) be able to get your car repaired and b) if you want a courtesy car whilst you're waiting. Otherwise find a company that operates in the 21st century.

Ignoring my no claims bonus cert
I sent my no claims bonus certificate when it was requested and was asked a further 6 times for ..... me to send it !!!!! I replied everytime via the email trail and each time was asked to send it, which I did again and again. I now have been charged extra premium as I haven't sent it ! Tried contacting them to discuss it but they ignore me and just tell me to send the certificate !

Great experience for me.
Struggled to complete the purchase of a car insurance policy so called the helpline. The whole process was completed in an under 15 minutes with a very pleasant and polite customer service advisor. Price if the policy and level of cover was also fantastic.

Raised a claim through AXA for damage…
Raised a claim through AXA for damage to my car during an attempted theft.

They were unable to find a garage for to repair my vehicle for over 4 weeks and when I tried to call AXA to complain I was not able to reach anyone (tried for days). When I finally managed to get hold of a claims specialist (I rang the new quote line and shock was answered within minutes so asked to be transferred to a manager) they said they would deal straight away. Weeks later still not heard a thing, so I managed to find someone to repair my car in 10 minutes (3 people actually) so cancelled my claim and repaired the car myself.

Renewal time and shock AXA have left my claim open meaning I have to pay another £50 a year due to their complete an utter disregard for their customers.

I will never use AXA again.

Warning do NOT use AXA for car…
Warning do NOT use AXA for car insurance. I am a customer, have raised a claim and 3 months later am still waiting for them to instruct the garage to proceed with the repair because it is sitting in the queue to be reviewed. Every time I phone them to chase it takes 45 mins to 1h 20 mins waiting on hold. They have never in 3 months replied to an email (except auto holding email replies). Their web portal incorrectly says the garage is fixing the car when the garage has not heard back from them. It is an unmitigated disaster and clear from the way they behave this is not a one off. Avoid at all costs!

Rude and poor customer service
Sent a rude email which threatened me, then when I have tried to explain why I couldn’t adjust an error I am not helped just told to add a new part? But the error is still there on my policy even though I have asked for it to be removed 3 times??

Not helpful
When my renewal came though I did another price comparison with AXA and it was cheaper. When I called AXA they were unable to help. Instead told me I had to cancel my old policy and start a new one. Therefore it appears I am a new policy holder. Very unhelpful.

Great Cover at a good price.
Easy to navigate website and clear and upfront additional cover and what's included.
AXA Plus cover offers more comprehensive cover which is not available with other insurers, also cheaper than a major competitor who offers a similar policy.

Forms crashed once, otherwise very good.
I filled on the forms on the website. When I submitted forms it all crashed because of browser settings. I did a lot of other, frequently more sensitive forms with these browser settings. Had to repeat same process from other device, where it worked perfectly well. Assuming that it was rare glitch, I still say four star.

Service very good AXA
Service very good AXA were the top of the best price comparison for my vehicle
Unfortunately my last Motor insurance Company came a few hours later and was even lower than AXA
so being an OAP I had to cancel Axa so I could save the difference for myself Sorry for any problems caused

Saved quote
I got a quote through GoCompare & saved it for 10 days.
Decided to accept quote, the start dated was wrong by one day, & the premium zoinced up £70 . Phoned AXA & after 40 mins someone answered & they refused to do original quote although everything was the same except to start one day later.

New customer with AXA.
Only just got car insurance with AXA as was the best deal on compare the market. I Made a cop up on my no claims discount but Neil was very prompt in replying to my emails and adjusted my insurance swiftly making sure I was happy to proceed with my new quote. So far a happy experience.

Easy to use website
Easy to use website, got the policy exactly how I wanted it and cheaper than my current insurer.
There was a slight issue when paying, which meant that 2 policies were set up by mistake. They did email me to confirm this and I just had to reply to confirm the duplicate can be cancelled.
Policy documents were available straightaway.
